Surveying Habitats Practical Workshop

23 October @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

£35

Surveying Habitats Practical Workshop: Understanding your baseline landscape and habitats.

This is the first practical workshop in our pilot programme for the Centre for Nature & Society. We hope the session will provide learners with the opportunity to survey land in-situ, develop an understanding of habitat classification, learn the importance of species identification and other components of phase I habitat mapping.

The workshop will be held at Billesdon Woodland Pool Nature Reserve on the 23rd of October at 1:30-4:30pm.

For non-members of the pilot programme, the cost for this workshop is £35.

NatureSpot directions:
Billesdon is 9 miles east of Leicester, lying just off the A47 to Peterborough. The only entrance to the site is on Gaulby Road, post code LE7 9BH. There is limited off-street parking adjacent to the entrance and street parking throughout the village. Central bus 747 from Leicester to Uppingham runs through the village, stopping in the Market Place.
