Centre for Nature and Society Webinar
23 June, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
We aim to create the UK’s first dedicated centre that will become a central point to promote the role that nature plays in underpinning society.
The emphasis will be on providing training, research and advocacy in natural capital and ecosystem services approaches to help address the issues of climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, poor health and wellbeing.
We hope to connect more people to nature in a deeper and more holistic way; enabling groups such as:
- members of the public
- community and voluntary groups
- local authorities and parish councils
- schools, colleges and universities
to understand the role the environment plays in providing a good quality of life, and helping to deliver sustainable and positive outcomes for all.
The centre aims to be a resource available for everyone, but we won’t be able to achieve this on our own and welcome opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.
This is the first in a series of consultations with a range of groups where we will be looking to hear your views and discover how we can support you as we develop the scope of the centre.
