Part time and casual support workers required to work with our small team of adults and young people at our care farm site at Burrough on the Hill, near Melton Mowbray.
Our See:Learn:Transform programme focuses upon providing day care, work experience, skills, training, education and personal development support for people interested in the outdoors, or who thrive in small groups and nuturing environments.
Our focus is on using nature to nuture and to provide the basis for our education and learning. We are an accredited City & Guilds training centre and provide courses in countryside management, forestry, horticulture, wildlife surveying, and sustainability. We complement these with nature based activities such as green woodworking and construction, making nest and animal boxes, and natural arts and crafts. Our learners get involved in a wide range of projects around the farm, and they are encouraged to develop and implement projects of their own to help them gain a sense of independence and responsibility. Underpinning all of this is our person based approach, where we focus on the needs and outcomes of the learner: their personal development, health and wellbeing, academic ambition, and transition to employment or further training.
We are looking for support workers to help our young people in practical outdoor learning and activities, and to provide a positive role model to young people and adults who access our services.
