VOLUNTEER PROJECT OFFICERS
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to work alongside our team of specialists promoting ecosystem services, training vulnerable adults and young people, developing new project areas, and carrying out practical habitat management tasks.
Note: Because we work with vulnerable people, you will be expected to have the mandatory DBS check carried out.
Volunteers are recognised for their efforts through the following ways:
The SLT ‘Shield for Outstanding Services to Sustainability’ (awarded annually by the CEO of SLT)
The SLT ‘Certificate of Participation’ for all volunteers
External accreditation for volunteering services can be sought through one of the following for those who are interested:
Certificate in Interpersonal Skills for Volunteers
ASDAN Community Involvement and Volunteering Award (for 13-19 year olds)
Distance Learning Certificate in Community Volunteering
Youth Achievement Award

All of our activities include a risk assessments and a declaration from volunteers to work within a professional code of conduct.
